Basketball Seasons End for Carroll Teams

The Carroll Lady Dragon basketball team’s season ended in the Class 6A area round with an overtime loss Flower Mound 61-55. The Lady Dragons were led by Priscilla Smeenge’s 24 points and Kennedy Leonard added 21. Flower Mound was led by Lauren Cox, a 6-foot-4 junior who is the No. 1-ranked player in the nation and scored a game-high 26 points. The Lady Dragons held a four-point lead at the half.

Colleyville Heritage Defeats Carroll in Play-In Game
The Carroll Dragons lost its bid to reach this year’s playoffs. Colleyville Heritage defeated Carroll 57-43 in a playoff for the fourth seed in District 7-6A. The Dragons, who trailed by one at the half, were led by Hunter Summy’s 13 points. Lil Jordan Humphrey and Joey McCormick each had 11 points. Heritage pulled away in the third quarter taking an eight-point lead entering the fourth quarter. The Dragons finished the season 13-13.
