Cole Malone (1998 – 2015)
James Colbert “Cole” Malone passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
Celebration of Life: A celebration of Cole’s life will take place at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 13 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, TX. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cole Malone Memorial Fund. Contributions to this fund will be used to defray Cole’s medical and funeral expenses with the balance being used to fund scouting scholarships and education.

Cole was born July 8, 1998 in Houston, Texas. The family moved to Southlake when he was 3-years-old. Cole began school in the Carroll school system in kindergarten at Old Union Elementary and was currently a sophomore at Carroll High School where he was a member of the Carroll Clay Target Team and STEM Club. He was a member of Southlake SASO (Scholars and Athletes Serving Others).
Cole’s greatest passions were scouting and the outdoors. He has been active in scouting for ten years from Cub Scouts to his current rank of Life Scout. Cole attended National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) at Twin Arrows and National Advanced Youth Leadership Training at Northern Tier in Wisconsin.
Survivors: His parents, Karen Wright Malone and Tom Malone; grandmother, Evelyn Wright; sisters, Mary Beth Malone and Emily Malone Young, and brother, Thomas Malone. Nephews, Austin, Hector, Bennett, Carter and Gabe. Also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
