Carroll Mixed Doubles Team State Bound

Matt Landers and Clara Merklin qualified for the UIL Class 6A State Tennis Championships.

The Carroll Dragon mixed double tennis team of Clara Merklin and Matt Landers are headed for the Class 6A state tournament.

Merklin & Landers won the Region I championship this week in Arlington. The unseeded duo defeated the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds en route to the region title. They advance to the UIL state tournament May 20-21 in College Station.

Also, Carroll boys singles’ player Alec Reusche finished third in Region I.
