Nor rain, wet roads or slow traffic could stop the Spokes4Hope volunteers and police officers from delivering brand new bicycles and bike helmets to kids at Sydney Poynter Elementary school in Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Police Officers arrived at Southlake’s DPS West police station to escort Spokes4Hope officers from multiple law enforcement agencies including Southlake, Keller and Watauga and the Spokes4Hope 18-wheeler filled with over 100 bikes. There were about a dozen motor officers and a half dozen police vehicles in the escort.
The officers drove straight to Sydney Poynter Elementary school to deliver the bikes to some deserving kids. Getting a brand new bicycle is a big deal for the kids as many come from homes where a new bicycle is luxury their families can not afford.
Spokes4Hope is known for bringing big smiles to lots of kids! If you’d like to get involved or help Spokes4Hopes gift bicycles to deserving kids you can find more information at http://www.spokes4hope.com/contact.aspx
