Lady Dragons Roll Past Cedar Hill in First Round

ladydragonsoftballCEDAR HILL – Despite being forced to play a one-game playoff and on the opponent’s home field, the Carroll Lady Dragons proved they were too explosive for the circumstances to matter.

The Lady Dragons rolled to 13-7 victory vs. Cedar Hill in a Class 6A bi-district playoff. Carroll led 8-0 after three innings and was powered by a five-run first inning. The Lady Dragons, who won their first district title since 2004, have won 14 consecutive games.

Carroll (18-5) had 14 hits and were led at the plate by Christina Hill and Nikki Spuria, who each had three hits apiece. Cami Green got the victory on the mound going five innings and had five strikeouts.

The Lady Dragons advance to face Lewisville in the area round.

Game 1: 8 p.m. Friday, Argyle HS
Game 2: 4 p.m. Saturday, Argyle HS
Game 3: (if necessary) 30 minutes after Game 2
