Mixed Doubles Team Falls in Delayed Quarterfinals

COLLEGE STATION – After lengthy rain delays at the UIL State Tennis Tournament, the mixed doubles team of Clara Merklin/Matt Landers didn’t start their Class 6A quarterfinal match until 1:15 a.m. at Texas A&M.

Merklin/Landers came up short falling 6-4, 6-3 in a match that concluded at 3:30 a.m. The Carroll duo finished an amazing season going 32-5 and earned district and region titles along the way.
