Area of work for the S. White Chapel Street Rehabilitation Project

Area of work for the S. White Chapel Street Rehabilitation Project

Southlake Public Works has partnered with Tarrant County Precinct 3 to reconstruct South White Chapel Boulevard from the Colleyville border, north to West Continental Boulevard. The project started June 1st and is expected to be completed mid to late August 2015, weather permitting.

The work will be done in the following phases:

  • Phase 1: Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5, 2015, crews will mill 2 inches off the existing roadway asphalt surface/bridge.
  • Phase 2:  Monday, June 8, 2015, crews will begin pulverizing/stabilizing roadway sub grade.
  • Phase 3:  Crews will install the asphalt drive surface and begin constructing concrete ribbon curb on both sides of the roadway.
  • Phase 4: Complete asphalt installation, back fill roadway shoulders, sod, and open roadway.

Working hours are from 8 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday. During the designated construction hours, South White Chapel Boulevard will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Delays should be anticipated and motorists are asked to be patient and follow directions from traffic control personnel if traveling in the area between 8 AM and 4 PM.

It’s also important to note that the work will not impact services such as mail, trash collection and deliveries. For questions or concerns, please contact Southlake Public Works at (817) 748-8604.
