Carroll senior Paul Porter recently won several outstanding awards at the State Fair of Texas.
Porter won four First Place Blue Ribbons and one Second Place Red Ribbon for his entries. Porter brought home second place in the 100-year-old category with a WWI Iron Cross and first place with Military and Boy Scout items. He also won blue ribbons for his two hand-painted historic dioramas.
These items are located in the Creative Arts Building in Fair Park and will be featured during the State Fair of Texas, which starts Friday.
Porter is also a member of the Carroll Clay Target team.
