Carroll Independent School District is teaming up with the Student Councils from Carroll Senior High School and Carroll High School to host Homecoming 2015 – Candy Land: How Sweet It Is To Be A Dragon!
The carnival, parade and pep rally will take place on Wednesday, October 7 in Southlake Town Square. All official CISD student groups and teams in grades 7-12 may reserve a carnival booth and/or parade entry at no cost. The K-6 campuses may have one carnival booth and one parade entry at no cost.
All proceeds from the Homecoming events benefit the CSHS/CHS Student Councils. Sponsorships are available beginning at $500 for a carnival booth, $1,000 for a carnival booth/parade sponsorship and $1,500 for a carnival booth, parade and pep rally sponsorship. In addition, CISD is seeking a Grand Marshal sponsor for $5,000 and an automobile sponsor for $2,500. Please note that sponsors from previous Homecoming events are given first rights of refusal before new sponsors.
The deadline to reserve a carnival booth or parade entry is 4 p.m. on September 30. Those who plan to participate at the carnival or parade must send at least one student and one adult representative to a mandatory informational meeting at 4 p.m. on September 30. The meeting will take place in the Student Activity Center (SAC) at Carroll Senior High School.
CISD provides a 10 by 10 tent, table and two chairs for each reserved carnival booth participant. Official CISD parent and booster club organizations are also eligible for a free carnival booth. Set-up for the carnival begins at 2 p.m. on October 7. Carnival runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Parade staging begins at 6 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Southlake Hilton/Barnes & Noble Bookstore. The parade will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Pep rally on the steps of Southlake Town Hall to begin immediately following the end of the parade.
