Message from the Chief of Police

As part of a larger police family, all of us feel an impact when a police officer loses his or her life in the

line of duty, even when that event occurs in another part of the country. Recent police deaths have affected us even more deeply, and our officers are now facing challenges and a public sentiment that I have not seen in my career.
Police officers can only work effectively when we have a partnership with our community, and this partnership is something that we cherish in Southlake. Although we mourn for the loss of our brothers and sisters, we have seen an outpouring of support from our community and the citizens that we strive to protect. As we work to make sense of tragedy, this kind of support is a ray of light that we cling to. Thank you to the Southlake residents and businesses that stepped forward last week to remind us that our cause is noble and that our service is valued. The men and women of the Southlake Police Department will continue to work tirelessly to keep our citizens safe, and we will do so in the most professional manner possible. Thank you.
