The Dragon Marching Band will host a Community Band Night next Monday, Nov 2. at 6:00 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. This fun event will feature the Dawson Middle School and Carroll Middle School bands joining together to play with the Dragon Marching Band, as well as give the Dragon Marching Band one last opportunity to perform their award winning competition piece.
Last Friday’s football game against Colleyville Heritage was scheduled to be “middle school night” with the Dragon Marching Band, during which the middle school bands are able to play with the Dragon Marching Band at the varsity football game. However, due to the inclement weather, “middle school night” had to be cancelled. The Community Band Night will replace the band’s “middle school night” and still give the CMS and DMS band students the experience of playing with the Dragon Marching Band at Dragon Stadium. The Carroll Dragon Marching Band will be combining with Carroll and Dawson Middle schools to perform “Hey, Go Dragons!”, “Eye of the Tiger”, and the Carroll Dragon Fight Song.
The Community Band Night will also feature the final performance of the Dragon Marching Band’s award winning competition show, “Enter the Dragon.” They have performed this piece at multiple local competitions, and received rave reviews across the board. Last weekend’s weather also prohibited the band from participating in their final competition of the year, but the Community Band Night will allow them to showcase their hard work one final time for friends, family and the Carroll community.
