Due to inclement weather last Friday, Carroll’s home game against Colleyville Heritage was rescheduled to Saturday.

One day later, the Dragons delivered another big victory and clinched a playoff berth in District 7-6A. The Dragons won 49-14, which included 42 unanswered points after trailing 14-7 early in the second quarter.

Carroll improved to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in district. The Dragons are vying for district’s No. 1 Division II seed with two games remaining against Haltom and L.D. Bell.

Dragon senior running back Lil’ Jordan Humphrey picked up huge chunks of yards and fellow senior back Shemar Coleman was just as big-play dynamic. Both averaged more than nine yards per carry. Humphrey finished with 198 yards rushing on 22 carries and two TDs. Coleman had 141 yards on 13 carries and two TDs. The Dragons finished with 389 yards rushing.

Quarterback Mason Holmes was just as impressive going 12-for-19 for 175 yards and three TDs.

The Dragon defense produced three turnovers, including two interceptions.
