FM 1938 Update – Paving Continues along FM 1938

FM 1938 construction near Beam Drive

Update: 2/3/15 – TxDOT has informed the City that the paving on FM 1938 near Beam Drive will not happen as previously scheduled. 

The Texas Dept of Transportation (TxDOT) will pave a section of road along FM 1938, north of the Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709) intersection, the week of February 1, 2015.

Recently, TxDOT began paving sections of FM 1938 from the Carpe Diem school north to Johnson Rd. The next location to be paved, scheduled for the first week in February (weather permitting), will be in the vicinity of Beam Drive and heading north on Fm 1938 (see map).

When the work begins:

• This section of Fm 1938 will be reduced to one lane;
• Flaggers will be on hand to guide traffic through this transition;
• Paving of this section of FM 1938 will occur between 9:00am and 4:00pm to avoid conflicts with rush hour traffic.

TXDOT asks that motorists pay attention to traffic conditions and any changes due to the construction.
