Help Miracle League of Southlake Hit It Out of the Park by Supporting Inaugural Recognition Banquet February 19

The mission of the Miracle League is to provide the opportunity to play baseball to anyone interested – regardless of age or ability. Creating a community of support and encouragement, Miracle League can be exciting for anyone looking to get involved in the nation’s favorite sport. With the Texas Rangers Miracle League Field, located in Bicentennial Park, adapted into a handicap-friendly field, there is nothing to hold any one back from pursuing their dreams of enjoying baseball.

Through the support of sponsors, the Miracle League of Southlake has not had to charge a registration fee for their players. To kick off fundraising efforts for their second season, Hilton Southlake Town Square will host the Miracle League’s inaugural Recognition Banquet February 19.

Begin the night with the opportunity to get your favorite memorabilia autographed by all of the players while enjoying a hosted bar and cocktail hour. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. with live entertainment and plenty of dancing to follow. Charity auctions and raffles will help provide support toward insurance, equipment, and other future expenses. There are many sponsorship opportunities available, from $100 a seat to $1000 per table of 10 seats – price includes dinner, hosted bar and complimentary valet parking.

The Miracle League of Southlake, with just one season under its belt, has managed to already change many lives. Just recently, a nonverbal player became so comfortable with Tammy, her buddy, and excited for the game that when she saw the baseball she said, ”Ball!” Not too much later in the game, again the player spoke to repeat the player’s name on base!

“I shared this experience with her mother and it brought tears to her eyes. I feel so blessed that we’ve been part of such an amazing journey with our team,” said Tammy, a dedicated Buddy for the Miracle League.

Opening day, March 26, is just around the corner to kick-off the eight-game season. Registration is now open for anyone looking to play or volunteer – whether they live in Southlake or Louisiana. Working side-by-side and building relationships with players can be life-changing. With the growth of the participants, the need for volunteers is increasing rapidly!

“Once a volunteer experiences a game for the first time, they say they’re hooked. They tell me they just work all week and look forward to the best hour of their weekend with these players,” said Andi Stone, a mother of one of the players.

The Miracle League of Southlake, with the help of local businesses and sponsors, are honored to be a part of the Southlake community. On February 19, enjoy an evening to remember at the Hilton Southlake Town Square, inspired by the courage and strength of the miraculous players.
