Glenn was named state boys’ golf coach of the Year by the NFHS.

Carroll golf coach Matt Glenn has earned national recognition for leading the Dragon boys’ golf team to the Class 6A state championship last year.

Glenn has been honored by the National Federation of State High School Associations as the state Coach of the Year for Boys Golf.

Last year, Carroll won its first boys’ title since 2004 and edged second-place Austin Westlake by seven strokes. Glenn led the team of Mason Greenberg, Colin Kober, Ben Fernandez, Triston Fisher and George Gardner to the school’s first 6A crown.

Glenn’s team also produced the top two medalists. Kober won the 6A state championship and Greenberg finished second. Glenn is in his 13th year at Carroll.
