Top-Ranked Duncanville Ends Carroll’s Season in Bi-District Round

The Carroll Lady Dragons drew a difficult first-round playoff matchup Tuesday vs. Duncanville.

The Lady Panthers are undefeated and nationally ranked. Duncanville proved too explosive as Carroll fell 71-26 at Arlington High School in the Class 6A Region I bi-district playoffs.

Carroll, which finished fourth in District 7-6A, trailed 18-10 after the first quarter and kept Duncanville’s lead down to 13 at the half. But Duncanville took over in the second half and held the Lady Dragons to nine points.

The Lady Dragons were led by Anna Hurlburt’s 14 points and Priscilla Smeenge added six points.
