More than 1,000 residents and visitors celebrated the grand opening of Southlake’s Park Village shopping center April 16 during the “Sip, Shop & Rock” event.
The event was highlighted by a ribbon cutting with Mayor Hill and several Council members and topped off by a free Gin Blossoms concert. The Event raised $5,000 for the Miracle League of Southlake.
The first part of Sip, Shop & Rock was open to VIP ticket holders who enjoyed complimentary food and drink samples, swag bags, giveaway opportunities and other special perks. Sales from the VIP tickets raised $5,000 for the Miracle League of Southlake, which provides opportunities for local children and young adults to play baseball, regardless of their abilities.
The Gin Blossoms played a free public concert at 7 p.m., rocking out with their top hits, such as “Hey Jealousy” and “Found Out About You.”
To continue the celebration, Park Village will give away prizes from its stores and restaurants on social media. To enter, event attendees are encouraged to share their best photos and videos from Sip, Shop & Rock with the hashtag #shopparkvillage.
More retailers, including Engel & Völkers, Kirkland’s and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, will open at Park Village in the coming months. Park Village is located at 1065 E. Southlake Blvd.
