Comeback Kids: Lady Dragons Sweep SGP with Two Thrilling Victories

The Lady Dragons face Plano West in a one-game playoff Friday at Flower Mound.

The Carroll Lady Dragons mastered the comeback in the Class 6A bi-district playoff round vs. South Grand Prairie.

First, the Lady Dragons produced a wild six-run seventh inning for a walkoff victory in Game 1 – 11-10. The Lady Dragons trailed 10-5 entering their final at-bat.

Then in Game 2 on the road, the Lady Dragons trailed 4-0 and 5-4 before posting the go-ahead runs in 5th. The Lady Dragons won 7-5 to sweep the series and Lauren Long got the victory on the mound and had seven strikeouts. McKenzie Schneider was 2-for-3 and Abigail Stuart went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Carroll (22-10) advances to face Plano West (26-3) in a one-game area playoff at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Flower Mound High School.
