Using Fireworks is Against the Law in Southlake

The Southlake Fire Department wants to remind residents that selling, possessing or using fireworks in the City of Southlake is illegal.

The City has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to fireworks. Individuals in possession of fireworks will have them confiscated and issued a fine. Violators caught setting off fireworks will be subject to a citation and hefty fines. The fines for selling or using fireworks within the Southlake City limits can be as high as $2,000.  fireworks

It’s simply not worth the risk. Instead, we invite everyone to join us for Southlake’s annual Stars and Stripes celebration on July 3rd in Town Square.

Southlake Fire Chief Mike Starr says, “We want to provide a safe environment for kids and their families to enjoy the holiday. The best way to have fun and play it safe is to leave the fireworks to the professionals.”

We hope to see you there!
