Vacation House Watch Program

Heading Out of Town? Sign Up for the Vacation House Watch Program!

Planning a fun‐filled family vacation this summer? Worried about leaving your home for one week, two weeks or even a month? The City of Southlake Police Department is ready to help keep an eye on things while you’re gone through its Vacation House Watch Program.

By signing up for the free service, a police officer will check on your home (once per shift) to ensure it is locked, armed and secure. Homeowners are encouraged to utilize this new program in order to feel safer and more comfortable about leaving their homes for an extended period of time. “The Southlake Police Department takes a very proactive approach to fighting crime, and this is one more way in which we can offer security and peace of mind to members of our community,” says Assistant Police Chief, Ashleigh Douglas.

If a homeowner wishes to request a date change, return early or extend their vacation, this can easily be done by calling the non-emergency number for our 911 dispatch center at 817‐743‐4522. Please include name, home address and new dates and the officers will be informed with the updated information.

Signing up for the Vacation House Watch Program is easy. Simply complete the online form on the City of Southlake website and submit it electronically. For more information about the Vacation House Watch Program, go to: http://www.cityofsouthlake.com/1817/Vacation‐House‐Watch‐Form.
