The Offices at Kimball Park Announce Tenants at Groundbreaking Ceremony July 18

The northwest corner of State Highway 114 and Kimball Avenue is getting a makeover in a big way. What was once the site of a large MESCO metal fabrication facility since the 1950s will soon be home to the city’s newest mixed-use commercial development: Kimball Park. The 15.5 acre project will combine office, retail, restaurants and a hotel into a walkable, park-like setting.

One of the largest components of Kimball Park is the four-story, 115,000-square-foot, Class A office complex, known as The Offices at Kimball Park, which kicked-off with a groundbreaking ceremony July 18. The $25.5 million building is expected to be completed April 2017.

Kimball Park developer Jeff Medici welcomed approximately 100 guests at the groundbreaking ceremony, including community leaders, project partners and future tenants. Local businesses that have already committed to space in The Offices at Kimball Park include Executive Medicine, Independence Title and Keller Williams Realty DFW Southlake, which signed a lease for approximately 32,000 square feet.KWComm_KimballParkBooklet_Final-3

“I had been looking for property in Southlake and knew there was a need for Class A office space. When I found this property, I said ‘That’s where I’m going to build my hotel and office building,’” said Medici during the ceremony, referring to the site as the gateway to Southlake. “The Southlake City Council and staff have been amazing to work with, and have helped me to turn this property into a first rate development.”

Southlake Mayor Laura Hill echoed his sentiments during her turn at the podium and expressed her appreciation for all involved in the process.

“This piece of property is a Cinderella story with a happy ending,” commented Hill. “Keller Williams has been an incredible neighbor and made such a significant investment in this community. Congratulations to all who will call this new building home.”

Already under construction at Kimball Park, and scheduled to open October 15, is a four-story, 175-room Cambria hotel and suites that will include approximately 5,500 square feet of meeting space, an onsite restaurant and bar, fitness center, and complimentary high-speed WiFi throughout the property.
