Carroll ISD is expanding its Blending Preschool program for the start of the 2016-2017 school year.
The School Board officially approved the decision during Monday’s Board meeting to add three preschool teaching positions to Old Union Elementary.
Old Union Elementary now joins Carroll Elementary and Rockenbaugh Elementary as the three CISD schools to offer the program. Due to the growing need in the community and more eligible students, CISD expanded the preschool program and now has 15 classes. Old Union campus also provided the best space availability.
Blended Preschool includes pre-kindergarten eligible, special education and tuition-based students. The current CISD preschool enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year is 158 students and with the additional classrooms the total will be near 200.
The openings for the three positions and aides have been posted to Carroll ISD’s employment webpage. Click here to view the openings.
