Dragon Pink Out Game Scheduled for September 30

The annual Dragon Pink Out Game will be held on Friday, September 30, when the Carroll Dragons take on the Trinity Trojans at 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. This Pink Out Celebration will kick-off a month long “Pink Out” initiative in Carroll ISD, a month used to honor breast cancer survivors and raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. Pink Out is an event that was started by former CISD student Amy Moan, and continues today as a favorite tradition in Carroll ISD.

Carroll ISD is auctioning off the chance to watch the Pink Out Game from the Community Box in the Dragon Press Box. The winner and 14 of their friends will watch the Pink Out Carroll vs. Trinity Game on Sept. 30 in the comfort of the air-conditioned suite and enjoy a catered dinner from Duff’s Famous Wings. The auction ends on Monday, Sept. 26.  Proceeds from the auction go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Click here to start bidding.

Prior to kickoff of the Pink Out Game, there will be an on-field recognition for breast cancer survivors. Survivors from all branches of the Dragon community are invited to attend and be recognized on the field, along with receiving a free pink survivor t-shirt for the event. If you are a breast cancer survivor interested in participating, please email Hayley Herring at hayley.herring@southlakecarroll.edu.

Carroll ISD employees will have the chance to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and wear pink with jeans on Thursdays during the month of October. Thousands of dollars were donated to Susan G. Komen last year through this fundraiser. Additionally, members of CISD’s Peer Assistance Leadership or PALs class, will be passing donation buckets at the September 30 Pink Out game to even further the Susan G. Komen donation on behalf of CISD.
