Join Us on October 1st for National Night Out and Fire Prevention Week

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 1st for the annual National Night Out event.

It is also Fire Prevention Week and this year NFPA wants to remind everyone to check the dates on their smoke alarms. We will again be partnering with the Southlake Rotary Club who will announce the the Police Officer of the Year at this years celebration! Parents and kids will be treated to a great time!

This year we have a lot of family friendly activities including a petting zoo, a balloon artist, lots of fun give-aways, Police Officers and Firefighters along with your kids favorite super heroes and much more! Plus, the kids will get to climb into fire trucks, police vehicles and sit atop a police motorcycle. It’s the highlight of the night for lots of kiddos.

The evening is always lots of fun for the whole family! It’s not only a fun time for kids, but moms and dads will take home some important safety information and public education materials too. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. and will end at 8:00 p.m.  You will have a great time and kids will leave with memories that will last for years to come!

This event would not have been possible without our sponsorships from our community partners. Donations from our local sponsors will help fund scholarships for the children of local public service workers. Last year’s event allowed the Southlake Rotary Club to award $6000 in college scholarships to our DPS families.

Take a look at the flyer below and if you have any questions please call our Public Education Team of Valerie Snyder at 817-748-8173 or Renni Burt at 817-748-8349.
