Orange Barrel Alert: N. Kimball Avenue between FM 1709 and SH 114 Service Road to Begin Next Week

The City of Southlake Public Works Streets/Drainage division will be working with contractors to repair failing pavement on N. Kimball Avenue beginning Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

The City of Southlake Public Works Streets/Drainage division will be making needed repairs to N. Kimball Avenue between FM 1709 and SH 114 Service RoadWork is expected to begin on October 25, 2016, weather permitting.Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. between the dates of Tuesday, October 25 and Wednesday, November 2 to complete the needed repair.  The project will consist of various lanes closures as described below:

  • Phase 1 – 2 outside, southbound lanes closed 10/25-10/27 (Shown in “Yellow” on map below)
  • Phase 2 – 2 outside, northbound lanes closed 10/27-10/29 (Shown in “Green” on map below)
  • Phase 3 – center and turn lanes, north and southbound closed 10/31-11/2 (Shown in “Blue” on map below)

Crews are only scheduled to be present on the first day of each phase, with the other days needed for curing.

Motorists can expect delays when traveling through the work zone and should plan trips accordingly. The project is anticipated to be complete by Wednesday, November 2.
