Southlake Police Advisory

The Southlake Police Department is currently addressing concerns involving individuals dressing up as clowns.

Last night, Southlake Police responded to two calls of individuals dressed as clowns in the area of Cherry Lane as well the area of Pearson and Johnson Road on the Southlake/Keller border. The individuals left the area before officers arrived. Our School Resource Officers are aware of these incidents and are working to educate students on the inherent dangers of this type of activity. They also encourage students to report any information they may have regarding these incidents.

As you probably know by now, clown pranksters have been spotted in dozens of North Texas cities and across the United States. While individuals may think the hoax is all fun and games, the Southlake Police Department is warning that participation in this kind of activity can lead to serious consequences.

Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activity by calling the non-emergency dispatch number at (817) 743-4522 or 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency or an actual threat.
