Avant Chamber Ballet to Perform Holiday Classic

Avant Chamber Ballet returns to Southlake with an expanded one-act Nutcracker with all your favorite characters and live music!

The production will build on the success last season, including new and expanded sections from the Christmas classic and new costumes in a family-friendly one-hour performance. This year in addition to the 15 professional dancers, we have a student cast of 38 from schools all over DFW selected from 2 days of auditions. For the third year, ACB will be presented by Apex Arts League who brings top level arts group such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Fort Worth Symphony to the city of Southlake.

“We look forward to coming to Southlake each year,” says artistic director Katie Cooper. “It doesn’t seem like the season without Nutcracker but as a dancers who grew up performing it many times it’s great to be able to something a little bit different. We skip some of the storytelling sections and focus on everyone’s favorite dancing which makes it an easier and shorter production for kids in the audience too.”

Tickets are available online at www.apex-arts.org or at the door.

$20 Adult or $15 Seniors, Students, Apex Members.
