Dragon Cross Country Runner Commits to National Power

ReedBrownCarroll Dragon senior Reed Brown has decided where he will continue his running career.

Brown has given a verbal commitment to national power Oregon to run cross country and track. Brown is regarded as one of the top distance runners in the nation.

Last season, Brown produced a memorable year. He was named the Gatorade State Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year and broke a 29-year-old record in the 3,200 meters. Last week, Brown led the Dragons to the District 5-6A championship and the team now prepares for the Region I meet.

Brown follows in the successful athletic footsteps of his older brothers – former Carroll standouts Kris and Drew. Kris was an All-Pro kicker and played 12 years in the NFL. Drew is the current place kicker for the No. 7-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers.
