Results from the February 21 City Council meeting

Southlake City Council members held their biweekly meeting in council chambers on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Several items were discussed including improvements/modifications to the loading dock at Verizon located 500 West Dove Road. It was approved by the Council 7-0.

Also discussed; a possible amendment to the Southlake 2030 Mobility Master Plan to incorporate recommendations of the Bicycle Safety Committee. A staff presentation was made to council outlining proposed changes to the existing Bicycle Master Plan. Several items discussed included additional designated routes for bikers; hosting a bicycle safety forum, and placement of street signs that say, “Share the Road” for bikers and pedestrians.

Next steps in the process includes seeking input from Southlake citizens. No vote was taken on this agenda item.
