Dragon Swimming Reign Continues with 7th Consecutive Title

AUSTIN – The Carroll Dragons swimming dynasty continues.

The Dragons claimed their seventh consecutive UIL state championship, and did it in record-breaking style. The Dragons scored a state-record 327 points, beating the previous total of 295. Carroll sent a record 22 swimmers to Austin and delivered big again, capped by a traditional dive in the pool at the end by the team and coaches.

The Lady Dragons teams was very successful as well, posting a third-place podium finish. Lady Dragon freshman diver Bridget O’Neil was the state championship.

The Dragons earned four state championships. Zettle won the 200 freestyle with a state record time and Jack LeVant defended his 100 butterfly state title.

The 400 free relay team of Zettle, Jack LeVant, Landon Armstrong and Colton Carman broke the record they set last year in the event.
