As one of the six core values at Carroll ISD, compassionate service encourages students and staff alike to give back to their community. Durham Intermediate’s latest service project exhibits the core value of compassionate service in a big way, organizing a service project at their campus to help those in need.
The Durham Ambassadors collected over 250 pairs of new and gently worn jeans for their January service project, “Denim for Durham”. Along with the jeans, students also collected shampoo and conditioner which were donated to GRACE, a local outreach center helping those less fortunate by providing assistance to individuals and families in crisis.
