Carroll Indoor Percussion Places First at NTCA Championship

Carroll Indoor Percussion competed in the NTCA Championship at Centennial High School in Burleson on Saturday and brought home the first place trophy for the first time in program history. They finished first in the highly competitive Percussion Scholastic Open (PSO) division. The program has grown form entry level division to PSO in just 3 years.

Their competition piece, FROM DUST, received a score of 91.863, which was the highest score for a marching group for the entire competition, and also the highest in the program’s history. The group was also awarded 3 out of 4 captions from the 8 judges at the competition. They were awarded captions in Music, Effect-Visual, and Visual Performance. The techs for the program were Kami Lujan of Johnson Elementary (Front Ensemble Coordinator), Luke Willingham (Battery Coordinator),  Aaron McCann (Bass Coordinator), and Cameron Brown (Front Ensemble Coordinator).
