Mary Stockton, former Assistant Principal of Eubanks Intermediate School, was approved by the CISD Board of Trustees as the new Eubanks Principal at Monday night’s board meeting. She has been an assistant principal at Eubanks Intermediate for the past four years and spent nine years in the classroom as a teacher.
Stockton earned her Bachelors degree from Texas A&M in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2004 and her Masters degree in Educational Administration in 2013. A past Old Union Elementary Teacher of the Year, she has taught fourth grade math and science, and served as the fourth grade team leader.
“As an intermediate principal, I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on children at a critical and moldable age,” said Stockton. “Being a good role model in the community is important.”
“We are so thrilled Mrs. Stockton has been approved to lead Eubanks Intermediate School. Her knowledge of the students, parents, and staff at Eubanks, along with her passion for the campus, will help her continue the tradition of excellence and build upon the strong foundations already established within the campus culture,” said Janet McDade, CISD Assistant Superintendent for Student Services.
“It is humbling to be given the honor to lead and serve the students, staff, and families of Eubanks. I have learned so much having been a Dragon my entire educational career,” said Stockton. “I’m thrilled to continue to give back to a community that has given so much to me.”
