Dragons Swimmers Compete at Nationals

Six of our Dragon Swimmers competed late this Summer at the USA Junior National Swimming Championships in East Meadow, New York. This Championship Swim Meet brings together all of the Top 18 and under swimmers in the USA.

Chris Lindley finished as high as 11th in the 800 free, also scoring Top 16 in the 1500 meter free.

Natalie Whalen scored points finishing 11th in the 200 fly and also making Finals in the 400 individual medley.

Logan Davis finished 29th of 66 swimmers in the 200 meter fly.

Kit Kat Zenick made finals in the 100 meter fly, while also contributing to a 3rd place relay finish and a 5th place relay finish for LAC in the 400 meter medley relay and the 400 meter free relay, respectively.

Alex Zettle and Jack LeVant were Top 3 Medalists in multiple events.

Alex Zettle placed 1st in 400 meter free, 1st in 200 meter free, and 3rd in 100 meter free.

Jack LeVant placed 2nd in 200 meter fly, 2nd in 400 meter  individual medley, 2nd in 200 meter free, and 3rd in 400 meter free.

In addition, Jack LeVant, qualified this Summer to compete at the World Junior Championships in Indianapolis just before the school year began. He swam on the USA 800 meter free relay, that finished 2nd in the World to the Hungarians by just one one-hundredth of a second (.01).

Finally, Alex Zettle and Jack LeVant were just named, yesterday, to the USA Junior (18 & under) National Team for 2017-2018, Zettle in the 400 and 800 meter free and LeVant in the 200 meter  free and 200 meter fly.

Congratulations to all of these Dragon Swimmers on their fine Summer of USA swimming competition, and looking forward to their 2017-2018 Dragon HS Swim Seasons.
