2018 Budget Adopted and Other City Council Briefs

Congratulations to the newest Southlake City Council member Christopher Archer. Mr. Archer, who filled the Place 6 seat, was sworn in at last night’s City Council meeting.

A reception for Mr. Archer was held following his swearing in.

City Council also adopted the 2018 budget. It goes into effect on October 1, 2017. The proposed budget includes an already approved 20% homestead exemption for homeowners, a steady tax rate, significant investments into safety and security, improved roads and road capacity, and operating dollars for the new recreation center, The Marq Southlake, Champions Club.
