Carroll Swim and Dive Ranks Nationally

As the final national rankings for the 2016-2017 swim and dive season are released, the Carroll ISD community and the Carroll Dragon Swim and Dive Team have many reasons to be proud.

There are two different national ranking systems for high school swim and dive teams in the United States.  The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) Dual Meet Power-Point ranking system rewards teams on the overall depth of the team from top to bottom. The Swimming World National Championship ranking rewards teams for the quality of your team based on results throughout the season.

For the Dragon Boys team it was another successful year as they were named, by the NISCA, the Public School National Champions for the third year in a row and second in the nation overall only behind St. Xavier’s Boy’s Prep School in Ohio.  The boys were also ranked third in the nation out of all public schools by Swimming World.

The Dragon Girls team received a ranking of seventh best public school program in the nation by NISCA and 13th overall out of public and private school swim and dive teams.

In addition, according to the NISCA Power-Point Results, Carroll ISD currently has the #4 Boy’s and Girl’s Combined Swim/Dive Program in the USA.

Congratulations the these athletes and their coaches on another successful season.
