You have thoughts and the city wants to hear them.
The 2017 Citizen Satisfaction survey will get underway on October 15 and run through mid-November. Southlake residents are urged to participate and share their opinions on quality of life, customer service, communication and other key community issues.
“Citizen survey results are so important, an integral part of our work planning,” said Shana Yelverton, City Manager. We use the results extensively to guide our work and resource allocation, and the data is used to assess our performance.”
Residents will be able to take the survey online, and this year will be able to complete the survey on their mobile device as well. Respondents may participate in a basic survey and will have an option to choose if they would like to continue on to answer additional questions. This will make it possible for most people to participate, even those who don’t have a lot of extra time.
“We wanted to make it convenient for people who wish to participate because we want a variety of perspectives,” said Mayor Laura Hill. “The more participation we have, the better. City Council and I will dig into the results and consider them carefully when setting our strategy at the beginning of the year,” she added.
The City will notify residents when the survey opens, using a variety of communication methods including social media, the City’s website, email blasts, and phone calls.
“Your opinions count, and we hope you’ll share them by taking the survey,” said Mayor Hill.
Questions about the survey may be directed to the City Manager’s Office, (817) 748-8001.
