Third Candidate Applies for Place 4 Election

Filing began January 17 for three Places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees. Thursday, January 18, a third candidate filed to run in the Place 4 election.

Dudley Jordan has filed for Place 4 on the May School Board election ballot. He joins two other candidates who filed Wednesday for the three-year vacancy.

Filing began January 17 for three Places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees. Two current board members filed their application for reelection and two community members filed for the vacancy in Place 4 on day one.

Two Southlake community members, Matt Bryant, and Eric Lannen, both filed for the vacancy in Place 4. Read Ballew announced that he will not be seeking re-election. Ballew has served nine years on the CISD Board.  He previously served as CISD Board President from 2011-2015.

Incumbents Danny Gilpin and Dave Almand\ have filed this morning with the intent to run for their Place 5 and Place 7 seats, respectively.

Filing for three Trustee seats continues until 5 pm February 16. The election is held the first Saturday of the month in May, which is May 5.
