Eight Straight for the Boys Swimming; Girls Bring Home Silver

Swimming in Carroll ISD has a rich tradition of success and the performances put on by both the Boy’s and the Girl’s swim and dive teams this past weekend protected that tradition.

Not even a late start, and even later finish in the first-day prelims could slow the Dragons down as they qualified for Saturday’s Final, both teams were in great position to challenge for 1st in the Boy’s and 2nd in the Girl’s competition.

When the competition was over, the Dragon Boys had prevailed, 247 to 196 over The Woodlands. This is the eighth straight state championship for the Boy’s Swimming and Diving program. They have a total of 10 state championships since their creation.

The Girls fought in a hard three-way race for the podium and ended up finishing runner-ups to a very talented team from The Woodlands.
