Ten Dragon Student Athletes Sign National Letters

On Wednesday, February 7, Carroll Senior High hosted a National Signing Day event to honor ten student-athletes who have signed to continue studying and competing at the collegiate level.

The athletes and their families were announced and recognized in front of a group of their teachers, families, and friends. They end inked their official National Letter of Intent to their future university.

Stephen Blomstrom, Carroll basketball player is signing to play at Pomona College in Claremont, California. Dragon head coach, Eric McDade was in attendance to support Blomstrom on such an important day.

“Stephen has a tremendous work ethic and set his mind to play basketball at the next level his freshman year,” McDade said, “He has found his spot and it is a perfect fit for him academically and athletically and I couldn’t be more proud of the man. All of these student-athletes signing today obviously got it done on the field, but more importantly, they got it done in the classroom, and that is the most important thing to our athletic program.”

Leslie Fields – Texas Christian University – Soccer
Sydney Posey – University of Incarnate Word – Soccer
Jessy Nesbit – Pomona College – Water Polo
