Lady Dragon Soccer Wraps Up Perfect District Schedule

Earlier this week the Lady Dragon Soccer team defeated Hebron 2-0 to take their season record to 18-1-2 and complete a perfect run through arguably the toughest 6A girls soccer district in the state of Texas. The Lady Dragons ended the regular season with a 13-0-1 record in district play.

While the playoff bracket has yet to be finalized, the Lady Dragons will head into post-season play as the number 1 ranked girls soccer team in the state of Texas and 13th ranked overall in the nation.

The team was led in goals this year by junior Taylor Tuft, who scored 22 goals on 105 shots. Tuft also led the team in assists with 19 on the season. On the defensive side of the ball, the Lady Dragons held their opponents to seven goals the entire season. They outscored their opponents 71-7 over both the non-district and district schedules.

Goalkeeper Madi Martin stopped 83 shots on the season and put up an impressive 14 shutouts.

The playoff matchups should be announced in the coming days.
