Lady Dragons Heading to Round Two

The Lady Dragons opened up postseason play against four-time state champion and longtime rival Plano West last Thursday. Goals were tough to find early in the game, but the offense of the Lady Dragons took over late to seal the 4-0 victory and the pass to round two of the UIL State Playoffs.

The current UIL 6A Number One State-Ranked Lady Dragons were led by two goals from Taylor Tuft, and one goal each from Karina Owens and Sidney Posey against the Plano West defense. Madi Martin blocked all shots sent her way for her 15 shutout on the season. The Lady Dragons push their record to 19-1-2.

The Lady Dragons will advance on to the next round and take on Irving Nimitz in a rare playoff home game at Dragon Stadium on Tuesday night. Kickoff will be at 7:45
