Your Summer Mission

Southlake Library is recruiting secret agents this summer through Southlake Spies, a summer reading program where recruits go on intelligence gathering missions to become a Master Spy.

Recruits Mission One:

  • Go to Bicentennial Park on Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Sign up as a recruit and get your Spy Field Guide. This has missions to complete which prepare recruits for higher spy rankings and provides a log for all investigations into reading.

Being a spy requires recruits to be fit and focused. Spy ability will be put to the test with an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt. Blackland Prairie Raptor Center will be on-site to share intelligence on rescued birds.

A spy mission would not be complete without snacks to keep our recruits feeling full! There will be free hot dogs, chips and Rita’s Italian Ice.

A DJ will test the recruits’ agility with dance challenges and a hula hoop contest. Program supporters will be available with lots of fun, hands-on activities. With so much to do at the Southlake Spies’ first mission, our recruits are sure to be ready to become a Master Spy.

For any questions, please contact the Southlake Public Library at (817) 748-8243.
