The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will perform this September as part of the DSO on the GO concert series, which brings the orchestra outside the Meyerson Symphony Center and into neighborhoods and communities around North Texas.
The DSO will perform on September 9, 2018, at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, TX. The all-Bach program includes Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Concerto in C minor for Violin and Oboe featuring DSO Co-Concertmaster Nathan Olson and Principal Oboe Erin Hannigan.
“These concerts will be a great way for our neighbors around North Texas to enjoy the Dallas Symphony close to home,” said Kim Noltemy, Dallas Symphony Orchestra President & CEO. “We’re especially delighted to feature two of our principal musicians, Nathan Olson and Erin Hannigan, as soloists. We hope audiences will enjoy their performances and connect further with their orchestra.”
DSO on the GO was launched in 2012 with a classical concert in Allen, Texas. In the 2018/19 season, DSO on the GO will feature the full Dallas Symphony Orchestra playing classical and pops concerts in cities and neighborhoods across North Texas. DSO on the GO concerts include familiar classical pieces and popular light classics, with concerto soloists who are principal musicians from the Dallas Symphony.
