Carroll ISD Announces Two New Assistant Principals

At the August 6 Carroll ISD School Board Meeting, the Board announced the hirings of a new Assistant Principal for Carroll Elementary and a new Assistant Principal that will split time between Johnson and Walnut Grove Elementary Schools.

Dr. Meredith Davis was named the new Assistant Principal at Carroll Elementary. Davis comes to Carroll Elementary School from the Curriculum and Instruction Department in Carroll ISD where she served as the K-6 English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Fine Arts Curriculum Coordinator. Prior to joining the Curriculum and Instruction Department, Meredith taught 2nd-4th grades at Carroll Elementary School.

Dr. Davis earned her B.S. degree from Texas Christian University in Early Childhood Education in 2005, her M.S. degree in Elementary Education in 2006 from TCU, and completed her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from TCU in May 2017. Her dedication as a Dragon is evidenced by her service and leadership on numerous district committees over the last thirteen years.

Haily May will be joining both Johnson Elementary and Walnut Grove Elementary as an Assistant Principal. May comes to Carroll ISD from Blake Manor Elementary School in Manor ISD where she served as the Assistant Principal for Blake Manor Elementary School for two years and an instructional coach for one year at ShadowGlen Elementary School. Ms. May is a graduate from Carroll ISD and taught at Walnut Grove Elementary School after graduating from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2011 and a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2013.

Ms. May brings a plethora of leadership qualities to the Dragon community which includes certified T-TESS Evaluator, Campus Testing Coordinator, Campus PBIS Committee Chair, membership to Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association and many others. May will be a wonderful addition to both campuses leadership teams.
