Carroll Robotics Excels at VEX Competition

Carroll Robotics hosted a successful VEX Robotics competition at Carroll Senior High on Saturday, with 26 teams from the DFW area participating.  Carroll teams performed very well with five ranked in the top 10.

Team 7110W, a second-year team of Jake Adams, Vincent Armato, Blake Bottum, John Dumbleton, Mitchell Gruenewald, Dale Kubiak, and Peiyuan Xu, were first ranked after qualifying rounds and were tournament finalists!

Team 7110F, a first-year team of Austin Baltes, Will Dorin, Devin Jain, Conor McNabnay, Ryan Sahihi, Farees Syed, and Abhi Vedire, were fifth-ranked after qualification rounds and tournament semi-finalists.  This was an outstanding achievement for a rookie team at their first event!

Veteran team 7110Z of Michael Chuang, Aaryan Das, Tenzin Dhondup, Samuel He, Arvi Krishnan, Sai Mahapatra, Amanda Piyapanee and Ty Ponzo were third-ranked after qualification rounds and tournament champions.  This win qualifies them for the North Texas State Championship in February! Team 7110Z has also been invited to attend an exclusive VEX Robotics tournament at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in January.
