Repairs to the N. White Chapel Culver Crossing are set to begin as early as next week.
Southlake City Council has approved an Engineering Services Agreement with Halff Associates Inc. to provide design services and emergency repair(s) of the N. White Chapel Road Culvert Crossing at Kirkwood Branch Creek. The plan will also include the replacement of the damaged headwalls and pavement.
Due to heavy rainfall and floodwater in late September, the road underwent structural damage and has since remained closed resulting in the area to be declared unsafe for equipment and traffic per the City’s structural consultant.
The City engaged Halff Associates Inc. as a consultant to develop a site-specific engineered plan for repairs, construction plans and specifications for interim improvements.
The City’s goal is to have the roadway re-opened by the end of 2018, weather permitting. In order to expedite the process, Halff Associates Inc. will work with other agencies and provide project coordination services as well as a timeline for a permanent resolution.
