Carroll Robotics Hosts North Texas Competition

The Carroll Robotics team hosted another exciting competition at Carroll Senior High on Saturday, January 12, with 37 teams from North Texas participating. The 10 Carroll Robotics teams were very successful with multiple teams winning trophies and qualifying for the state competition. All Carroll Robotics teams will compete again on February 2 at Berkner High School in Richardson. Team 7110Z will be traveling to Virginia next week to compete at the ‘Night at the Museum’ Tournament that may be held at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum or the Dulles Expo Center, and the state championship will be held on February 23 in Greenville, TX.

Team 7110A (Ben Brown, Bennett Darovec, Tyler Hall, Ethan Phalen, Walker Southern, Emily Stalder & Katelyn Sutton) were tournament finalists and won the Design Award, qualifying them for state!

Team 7110X (William Ferner, Alex Filiaggi, Reid Klein, Quinn Lehrmann, Yifeng Lin, Nick Phan, Nick Walker & Samuel Webb) were first ranked after qualification matches, tournament finalists, and took 2nd place in the robot skills challenge, qualifying the team for state!

Team 7110Y (Dyab Asdi, Farjaad Azam, Ethan Budvitis, Aiden Mitchell, Jack Reusch, Daniel Ross & Sam Vatinyan) were tournament quarterfinalists and received the Judges Award!

Team 7110Z (Michael Chuang, Aaryan Das, Tenzin Dhondup, Samuel He, Arvi Krishnan, Sai Mahapatra, Amanda Piyapanee & Ty Ponzo) were tournament champions and received the Innovate Award!
