Lady Dragons Shoot Into Round Two of Playoffs

Friday night, the Lady Dragons entered the playoffs to face a familiar face at Northwest ISD Stadium. The Lady Dragons and Flower Mound have matched up numerous times before in the past. The Lady Dragons jumped up early on Flower Mound and didn’t ease up.

Senior Taylor Tuft added three goals to her season total, senior Madi Drenowatz and freshman Hannah Khan added one each as well, as the Lady Dragons clinched the Bi-District Championship by a score of 5-1.

Khan and Drenowatz both notched an assist each as well. Juniors Sarah Hornyak and Karina Owens both aided in goals for the Lady Dragons as well.

The  Lady Dragons will head into a round two matchup with South Grand Prairie on Monday night at 7:00 pm at the Birdville ISD Stadium. South Grand Prairie is coming off a Bi-District win over Duncanville. The Warriors finished third in district 7-6A.
