Council Approves Construction Services Agreement to Repair Fountain in Town Square

City Council recently approved a contract agreement with Falkenberg Construction to replace the mechanical vault for the fountain located at Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park in Town Square.

The scope of the project includes the replacement of the existing vault, and the removal and replacement of the pavers surrounding the vault. The vault contains the components (pumps, motors, electrical, etc.) necessary for the operation of the fountain within the park. The existing vault is in need of replacement due to extensive corrosion over the last 10 years.

The ever so popular fountain sits in the middle of dining and shopping on the south end of Town Square. It is a common spot for shoppers, kids, and visitors to sit on the benches and enjoy the ambiance the fountain creates.

Repairs are set to take place in early July after Stars and Stripes, weather permitting.
